Welcome!

Welcome to the official home of the Tim Sale Travel Sketchbook Project!

What it is: A group of friends and fellow Tim Sale board members have gotten together and decided to create a community sketchbook. Each participant will draw their piece in the book, and then pass it on to the next artist. Once everyone has completed their drawing, the book will go to Tim to add the final piece. We will then gather in Baltimore in 2008, and Tim will put the final touches on the book by finishing the cover.

This idea was born on Tim's official message board while discussing the incredibly brilliant (and wonderfully bold) endeavor know as SketchTravel. Please check out http://www.sketchtravel.com/ to see why we were so inspired.

This blog will be updated with information, photos, rough sketches and the final drawings as each artist finishes.

Please feel free to drop in on us and say hello at Tim's official site: http://www.timsale1.com/

Three cheers for the man that is Henne.

I'm really looking forward to this, both in my own involvement, and in seeing what everyone comesup with.

Can't wait for this mighty tome to hit the UK with the force of the Monolith in 2001.

Kelly, are you okay? Watch out for projectile vomiting...a head injury is very dangerous...but make sure our book is not too dented from landing on your head...

oh and I can't wait to get my grubby paws on that delicious book...
